I’m not big on relaxing, My husband makes fun of me because I rarely even “sink in” to a comfy chair. On vacation, I want to see as many new places as I can in the time we have, often putting in over 10 miles a day on foot, or driving up to 12 hours in one day. Sometimes I’m in such a hurry, I’ll just take a few photos of a famous building and move on, because there’s another one we can make it to if we skip the guided tour.
Obviously, not everyones ideal travel is as fast paced as mine, and we enjoy sharing our great experiences with our friends, so I often find myself trying to accommodate all kinds of travelers in one trip. Splitting up so one group can go to the spa while another explores a local farmers market and a third goes for a morning dive makes for a great group dinner conversation and a better experience for everyone!
Also, even though I will never run out of new places and things to see, there’s something about cats. I love cats. When I run into one on vacation, I always stop and take a moment to watch them. They know how to relax, and simply “be” in their surroundings. And they choose amazing places to just hang out and call home. They remind me to be thankful we have an opportunity to travel at all, and that makes all the effort of planning any trip worth it!
